Hey, everyone, I thought I’d give a quick heads-up today so you all might pop on by next Friday, August 25, to my blog.
I’m participating in a blog hop called “We Are The World Blogfest” (tagged on social media as #WATWB). The idea of this blogfest is just as the picture above states: in darkness, be light. Co-founders Damyanti Biswas and Belinda Witzenhausen describe it as “a positivity beacon, shining light through what seems to be the never-ending darkness and negativity prevalent in social media these days.”
The premise is simple: post about something positive happening anywhere in the world—something that shows kindness, resilience, compassion and hope—on the last Friday of the month, link to it, and visit other #WATWB blogs to visit and share their posts. Spread light, not darkness. People tend to forget all the good things that are happening all around us because the negative news overshadows it. Those involved in We Are The World Blogfest want to remind you of those good things.
If you’d like to join, click on this link and sign yourself up! The more, the merrier.
If you like to read, comment, and share, but don’t have a blog of your own, I would be happy to consider stories you may find in the world news, and you may contact me privately regarding them.
So be on the lookout next Friday and BE LIGHT.
